Do not tell me Nicola Walker cried off from The Unforgotten series for THIS?
She is trying to use COMEDY in a murder mystery and shattering the fourth wall by addressing the CAMERA in a lighthearted frivolous manner. fFFS this is not want I want in my pommy crime dramas. I want maada and suspects and intensity not this whimsical fish-eyed lollygagging.
Now the onus is on me to either get with this programme of uneven, jarring discombobulation or give the fuck up prior to viewing episode 2.
TL/DR I didnt even make it to ep 2. Addressing the camera like that was such a cringe. I'm guessing it bombed bigtime in the UK?
Can't believe she left The Unforgotten for this. That's like dumping George Clooney for Boris Johnson.
